Types of Candle Waxes

Step 1: Soy Wax
Soy wax is one of the most popular choices in handmade candles. It burns cleanly, lasts longer, and is made from natural soybean oil. It’s great for candles with soft or calming scents and is perfect for eco-friendly buyers.

Step 2: Coconut Wax
Coconut wax is creamy, smooth, and luxurious. It holds fragrance beautifully and produces a slow, even burn. Many high-end candles use coconut wax because it gives an excellent scent throw and a polished finish.

Step 3: Beeswax
Beeswax is one of the oldest and most natural candle waxes. It has a soft, sweet honey aroma even without added fragrance. It burns longer than most waxes and purifies the air as it burns.

Step 4: Blended Waxes
Many candle makers also use wax blends, such as soy–coconut or soy–beeswax. These blends combine the strengths of each wax to create candles with better performance, smoother tops, or stronger scents. Understanding wax types helps customers know exactly what they’re buying and why each candle feels different.
